Udaan is a mobile app where people can trade products. Read on for my Udaan App review and find out the complete information
In this post, I will share my review on the Udaan App. It's a mobile app that is available for free to download from the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. Although, you can not use it until you verify your identity. When I first stumbled upon this app, I was unable to see the prices of the products. The thing is you must be a business owner to use the Udaan App. So all the people can not use it. People who are running businesses can trade through the Udaan App. I, myself, used the Udyog Adhaar Memorandum certificate. (MSME). There were more options available – I don't remember all of them!
Udaan App Review
If you want to trade products using this app, this post is for you. Let's get started!
As a first-time user, you must verify the Phone Number with the Udaan App. After installing the app, the first thing you do is enter the mobile number and verify it with the OTP they send to the entered number. Usually, it takes a few minutes to get the OTP. It would not take long.
Creating The Business Profile
As I said above, you would not be able to trade until you verify the business ownership. Like I did with the MSME certificate. When you click on any product, it will ask you to register the business. Enter all the details or register using the legal business proof. Once done, you will see an alert message saying Your request has been recorded, please check in 2 days.
How Long Does It Take To Verify Business In Udaan App?
It takes 1-2 days to verify the business ownership with Udaan App. In my case, it took only 1 day to verify the business – given that you added the adequate proof of the business while verification.
Tap the menu button in the top-left corner -> tap your name/number -> business profile -> it will show Verified Business once they approve your application. Before it, it shows verification is in process.
How To Sell?
Unfortunately, Udaan App is not accepting new applications. Tap the menu button in the top-left corner -> choose to sell on Udaan. There you see the message/disclaimer saying we are currently not accepting new applications to sell on Udaan. You may want to wait until they start accepting new applications of sellers.
Speaking of me, I was unable to sell on the Udaan App.
Buying From Udaan App
If you are a business owner and want to buy cheap products and sell at high prices in the offline market, Udaan app could be a good option. Once you are verified with this app, all you need to do is search the product and order it. But, make sure to do some research. You have to check the margin – for different products, you will see different margins. The best way to figure out the best deals is to search the prices of the product on Google; if Udaan is giving you the best deal, grab it.
For example – at the moment, Samsung EVO Plus 32 GB memory card price on the app is 366.98 – while on Flipkart, it's 420. Although, you need to buy in bulk for this price.
I would rate this app 3/5 stars. It does not let you sell the products. The search function is not good – they can improve a lot in the searching of the products department. The verification process was simple. Buying products was a good experience. Keep in mind that, on the Udaan app, there are also other "Desi" brands other than the premium brands. So be careful when you order something.
So this would be all in this post on the Udaan App review.
